Young Bird Show Rules

1. Entry fee is $2.50 per Bird, Entry fee must be included with entry or it will be returned, Make all
checks payable to the Reading Pigeon Assoc.

2. Entries will close September 26th 2012. Any entry's postmarked after this date will be sent

3. Classes will be provided for Young Cocks and Young Hens only. All birds must be
seamless banded.

4. The show hall will be open at 8:00AM, birds must be cooped by 9:00AM, so we can get the
Judging started as soon as classes are fill. Coop out time is 3:00PM or when judging is
done. Please to not ask to leave early as we do have other judging to be done after all is over,
Juniors, AOV.

5. Sales coops will be available for $3.00 per hole, with a 4 bird limit. ALL sale holes must be
reserved with entry. We need to have some idea of how many sale cages we need to set up,
we all know that there will be open sale cages at the show.

6. Changes may be made in the same age and color class. But we all know that is not going to
happen. so try and no over do your changes.

7. The Reading Pigeon Assoc will not be responsible for the loss of any birds, but we will do the
best we can, you also need to keep an eye on your birds.

8. All sick and out of condition birds will be removed from the show hall at the direction of
the Reading Club. PLZ we have all-had sick birds come home from a show. and have felt
the pain of loosing good birds, so leave them at home.

9. Racing Homers will be judged in 2 classes Flown and Show Type racing Homers.

10. Enter Rollers as Flying Rollers, Show Rollers or Bald head Show Rollers.

11. No talking to the Judge during judging. Judges decisions are final.

12. The RPA has the right to combine classes to create competion, this does not apple to birds
covered by a Specialty Club. specialty Clubs are also in charge of there own judge's
Awards
Specialty clubs will provide and be responsible for there awards unless other arrangements
have been made prior to the show. The Reading Pigeon Assoc will award to all breeds lot covered
by a Specialty Club. 1 Trophy for 10 birds, 2 Trophies for 20 birds, 3 Trophies for 50 or more birds in
a breed. Junior awards will be given to 4th Reserve.

Directions
The Show Hall ·is in the Berks County 4-H Building behind the birks County AG Center. It is located
1.4 miles West of the intersection of PA 183 and Upper Van Reed Road. from the North off Interstate
78, Take the Strausstown Exit Route 183 South. Go approx. 15 miles to a traffic light, there is a CVS
on the Lower Right corner and a Harley Dealer on the Upper left corner at the traffic light make the
right. Go to the stop sign and take the right. Go approx. 1 mile and turn back a stone lane. the 4-H
Center is on the right behind the AG Center

From 222 North go to the 183 Exit Burnville/Strausstown Exit and take 183 North, go past the VW

dealer on the left to the traffic light, CVS will be in front of you on the upper left corner, make the
left and follow the directions from above.

From 422 east or West follow 422 to 222 North and then follow the directions above.
